Surgical Fixation of Left Ankle Fractures - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This medical exhibit uses four illustrations to demonstrate the repair of medial and lateral left ankle fractures. Two images on the left side of the exhibit show a lateral incision being made to expose the talar dome fracture. The image beneath shows two small screws placed to reduce this fracture. The image on the top right side of the exhibit shows an incision made to expose the tibial fracture site. The image below that shows the displaced bone fragment rotated back into position and secured using two large screws.
