Mechanism of Fluid Collection - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This stock medical exhibit features cut-away views of a normal cross section of the skull, dura, arachnoid, pia, and brain next to a cross section of these structures at the site of a burr hole where scar tissue has formed and caused tenting of the arachnoid and dural layers. The remaining images describe how a catheter inserted was able to enter the arachnoid pia space due to this tenting, and fluid was able to collect in the Sylvian fissure.
